Our room rate includes breakfast and a sauna.

Hotel Royal Ruka is a unique boutique hotel sited appx. two kilometres from Ruka Village. Cross-country skiing routes and snowmobile routes are next to the hotel. The hiking/snowshoeing route “Pyhän Jyssäys” starts next to the hotel. All Ruka area services are near and more information about routes and services are available at the reception.

View from the hotel towards Juhannuskallio cliff is wonderful, especially during dark winter nights when it’s lit from the hotel. Juhannuskallio is a nature reserve and it is famous for its natural formation, a grotto called “Pirunkirkko” (Devil’s church).

Welcome to taste local delicacies at our restaurant. We serve food from local producers, prepared according to the best Northern traditions. We are part of the Wild Food Kuusamo Lapland collaboration, which brings together the local wild food producers and experience services from the area of Kuusamo and Taivalkoski.

You can watch Finnish channels Yle TV1, Yle TV2, MTV3, Nelonen, Yle Teema, and National Geographic.

Your room is equipped with an Android Smart TV connected to the network. You can access popular streaming services using your own accounts, but please note that streaming directly from your phone is not supported. You can only use the apps available on the TV.

As your stay comes to an end, please remember to log out of your accounts.

Breakfast

Breakfast buffet every day from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Please remember to inform us of any special dietary requirements in advance, so that we can arrange suitable food for you.

Our restaurant serves drinks every day ‘till 10 p.m.

Kitchen

Our kitchen is open every day from 4 p.m. ‘till 9 p.m.

Lappish Buffet

On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Please book one day in advance.

Á la Carte

On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. We recommend table reservations.

Problem with the booking form?

We provide cleaning services for stays of three nights or longer. If you would like to request cleaning during your stay, please inform the staff at breakfast.

Should you need fresh towels, additional toilet paper, or other supplies, please don't hesitate to ask the staff.

The hotel's wireless network is available for your use free of charge.

The network name is Royal Ruka Guest, and the password is royalruka.

Our reception is closed at night. During that time, the front door operates with an electric lock, and you can obtain the code from the staff.

Public Sauna Hours

• Women’s session: 5:00 p.m. – 5:50 p.m.
• Men’s session: 6:00 p.m. – 6:50 p.m.

Please bring a towel from your room. If you would like to reserve a private sauna session, you can do so at the reception for €10 per session.

The sauna has a minibar available for an additional charge; please pay at the reception.

The lounge with a fireplace is for our quest’s comfort. We serve hot and cold drinks from our list while you enjoy the magnificent view.
